Creature crochet

Related to my previous post, re-did the creature with smaller thread. It is really tiny, roughly 2.5×3.5 cm, anyhow didn’t turn out great as I expected! But at least my next challenge is try to make it as a small cute sculpture with crotchet, will post updates when I do.

 

Phone Pockets

Yup, I wasn’t working on the poster after all, instead I worked on something else! I intended to multitask, working on the poster and something else, but apparently I only did one task. Anyhow, at first I wanted it to make it as a continuation of one of the projects I have made in my previous semester, which was the self-promotion package. Some sort of merchandise, except it is for free. Of course, I have thought about issues with phone length and width issues, and honestly the best way I thought of it was either create a universal design that should in theory fit all phone sizes (but that is too hard to believe, large and small would never be the same). Or I would give the customer/receiver of this package some sort of code that they could redeem and choose the right spec sizes for their phone over the website, if they wish to own one. But yeah then I’d have worry about how are they going to receive it.

The package is about promoting myself in one of my interest areas, character design. This little guy you are about to see is a part of cute edition, which is free for clients or really anyone who is interested. There are different designs that are displayed in a book, and available on the CD – 6 currently – and are ready for usage. They are vector based and so able to be re-sized in anyway. In addition to the electronic files, I also wanted to be much more interactive than that, thus I included accessories and a plushie. Sooo, that is why my extension of adding a phone pocket makes sense…except it wasn’t exactly how it supposed to turn out.

I started to make my phone pocket for my creature, but as soon as I started working on it, I got requests to do for my relatives, and ended up doing 2 more and still have one pending! and here are my results
